How to read a Settle receipt
Every receipt is built the same way. Here is what your fiduciary will find on it.
One sequence, no gaps
Every receipt gets the next number in a single sequence per calendar year, like 2026-000123. No gaps, no duplicates, nothing issued outside the series.
VAT split per item, totalled per rate
Standard and reduced rate are carried per item and broken out per rate at the bottom of the receipt. The reports reconcile to exactly these lines.
Tip on its own line, outside VAT
Tips never mix into revenue. They sit on their own receipt line, outside VAT, and in their own column in the reports.
Web and PDF, kept for 13 months
Each receipt lives at its own link, as a web page and a PDF, for at least 13 months. Guests can have it emailed at checkout, and you can resend it any time.

Is this a proper receipt for Swiss bookkeeping?
Receipts are numbered sequentially per calendar year, itemized, show VAT per rate and carry your venue details and VAT number. Refunds get numbered credit notes referencing the original. It is the paper trail your fiduciary expects, minus the paper.
Can guests get the receipt by email?
Yes. At checkout there is an optional email field; the receipt arrives automatically after payment. The order status page keeps the link too, and you can resend any receipt from the portal later.
What happens to the receipt when I refund?
Nothing is deleted or rewritten. A numbered credit note is issued, for single lines or a custom amount, referencing the original receipt, with the VAT split recalculated.
What does my fiduciary actually get?
A CSV export in Swiss format that opens cleanly in Excel: per-order lines with VAT per rate, tips separated from revenue, fees and credit notes included. It reconciles to the numbered receipts one to one.
