What this policy covers

This policy covers the website settle.ch: the pages you are reading now. The Settle ordering service that guests use at the table (order.settle.ch) and the restaurant dashboard (app.settle.ch) have their own privacy policy, available in the ordering service's footer.

What this website collects

Very little. The site sets one functional cookie (settle_locale, kept for one year) when you choose a language. It stores that choice and nothing else. There are no analytics scripts, no marketing cookies and no tracking pixels, which is why you see no cookie banner.

Our hosting provider records technical server logs (IP address, requested page, time) for operating and securing the service. These logs are short-lived and are not used to profile visitors.

Forms you choose to send

If you use the contact or request-access form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, restaurant name if given, and your message. We use it to answer you and to process your request, nothing else. It is not sold, shared for advertising, or added to any newsletter.

Form submissions are delivered to our mailbox and kept for as long as the conversation or request is open, plus a reasonable archive period.

Payments and ordering

No payment or ordering happens on this website. When guests order and pay at a restaurant's table, that runs on the ordering service under its own policy, with payment data handled by our payment provider Stripe.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) you can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Write to hello@settleapp.ch. We answer within the statutory deadlines.
